Early Release (Pre-publication reviews)

I don't advertise this service of Amy's Bookshelf Reviews, as I usually just do it

based on individual request from the author. Many authors do not know that I also do early release or prepublication reviews. What is this? I call it early release, as I read the work prior to publication, and then send my review to the author or publisher/agent, prior to ANY posting of the review on my blog or other sites. The author or whatever representative can choose to use the review for promotional purposes, such as front/back cover, inside cover (usually e-book), or website or listed as an "Editorial Review" on amazon or other book sites with the book information.
Sometimes I am notified that they will accept my review for promotional purposes, and other times they don't mention if they selected it or now. I don't always know and I don't go hunting down the book to see if they do. As long as quotes are used (since I am being quoted), I am being acknowledged for the quote and the review is as it's written, even in partiality, I am glad to do it.
How does this work?
First, if you are a new author, send a request as normal, and once you receive the initial (long) email, read it completely. Once you're ready to move forward, when you send me the files, also let me know that you want the early release review, and what your deadline is. Repeat authors, send me a note, with the title of your book, and that you want an early release review. I'll let you know if I can meet that deadline. I like to have at least 30 days (either for a deadline or release) to give me a chance to read the work and write the review.
I don't expect to ever be quoted and that does not change how I write my reviews.
As always, if there are any questions, please contact me directly.
