Good versus evil.
I’ve written about both, so I believe that there is evil in people. I am discovering it more now.
Tell me a little bit about your family.
My parents are gone. My sister lives in Savannah with her husband and children. My wife, Purdy, died ten years ago. She’s still with me, though. She was a beautiful opera singer, and hearing her music keeps her close to me. My son, Sullivan, died when he was four. He was kidnapped and killed. Tyler is my brother-in-law.
What is the most important thing in any relationship?
Putting up with the others eccentricities
Who is your best friend?
Tyler. He never gave up on me.
Who is the person closest to you? How would that person describe you?
That would be Tyler. He would describe me as troubled but loyal and unique.
Where do you go to think or have privacy?
There’s this patch of grass that I like to lie naked in. It’s at the far end of my yard. Sometimes I’ll go to the River, and sit and stare at the water.
Do you have a sense of humor and how would you describe it?
I think others find me more amusing than I find myself. Owen thinks I’m eccentric with a sense of humor. I’m not sure if it’s eccentric or crazy.
What is your strongest trait?
I think the stories in my head make me strong.
What is your weakest trait?
Sometimes I need to take pills to get through stress or depression
What is your favorite drink (non alcoholic)?
Tea

Tea with whiskey
What’s your favorite snack?
Granola, fruit and yogurt
Favorite music genre and artist?
Depends on my mood. I have a grand collection of vinyls. Everything from Beethoven to Zeppelin.
What is the most unique about you?
Besides my mind, I guess that I prefer to not wear any clothes. Sometimes I wear socks, as my feet get cold, but my sock never match.

Letting go of Sullivan’s hand for that one second
